English Books Etc. opened in October 2004 and is dedicated to providing English books, videos, DVD’s and paraphernalia from Great Britain to Sicily and its inhabitants. Georgia Hardiman arrived on Sicilian Shores in May 2004 and quickly realised there was no English bookshop. One day, whilst walking to school she noticed an empty shop to rent and English Books Etc. was born! Georgia teaches full time, and is also an agent for school books so she is perfectly placed to advise both teachers and learners of English of suitable materials available from all the publishing houses from the best known to the smallest. There is a large selection of second hand books, and anyone will books to get rid of is always welcome to bring them in for Georgia to look at. If they are interesting, she will offer you either part exchange for other second hand books, or at a lower rate, cash. All tastes and ages are catered for, contemporary fiction such as Dan Brown The Da Vinci code, John Grisham and Mike Gayle His and Hers, through to books on Antiques, Art, exercise and learning Italian. There is a large range of guide books, poetry and short stories. Georgia is also pleased to assist in finding rare or difficult books and can order from America, Canada and the U.K.

For the younger reader, we have bath books for babies, First ABC and Dr Seuss. There are didactic books and aids for teachers and self study for students, graded readers for both children and adults and audio books. If reading ain’t your thing, just come in for gift ideas, Georgia is always finding new toys, bags or other gadgets which make fantastic gifts for all ages.
